ABOUT ME3D Artist While a capstone project tends to be an accumulation of all the skills a person has learned, I took this opportunity to take my skills and learn something new. I have a bad habit of believing that I can figure out how to do anything, which has never led me astray but has led me to many challenges. I love puzzling things out and combining lots of different knowledge and experience to create something unique.
I’ve spent years on other modeling programs like Maya, Blender and Womp but this semester I decided to tackle Cinema 4D. On top of learning and experimenting with a new software I worked with blending 3D and 2D elements. I have lots of fond memories of digital environments from both animations and games that hold special places in my heart. For one I can remember the entire map of “Legend of Zelda, Twilight Princess” and countless others. I love making worlds and environments to escape into. A big influence on this project is my late dog, Penny, who I dedicate this project to. I always want my work to have a lot of heart and soul radiating from it so that people can feel connected to it. I personally believe that the world is the bones of any story. Environmental factors are the main things that affect characters and plot. Through my capstone project, I aim not only to showcase my technical proficiency but also to create a sense of connection and resonance. |
